Arrabon House offers a safe, supportive, home-like environment for teen girls who have suffered abuse, trauma and mental health issues. Established in 1973, Arrabon needed a logo redesign, an updated website, and a fundraising campaign that would appeal to the vibrant Parkdale community to which it belongs.
Proposed as a fundraising campaign, The Silent Revolution was to bring awareness to the stigma associated with mental illness. To complement Arrabon’s existing “Stop the Crazy” campaign, which encouraged sufferers to talk about their illness, The Silent Revolution asks participants to stop talking and listen without judgment by requiring the Parkdale residents to take a 24-hour vow of silence as support.
Participants would collect pledges and identify themselves by wearing buttons or a t-shirt designed for the Silent Revolution. The cameo-inspired logo design references the 100-year-old Victorian house Arrabon residents call home. The double silhouettes represent the girls’ past, hopeful future, and public and private lives. The oval emphasizes the safety and focus that Arrabon House provides them.
